ALGEO, creating green spaces
At Fotis, through our project called Algeo, we specialize in seamlessly integrating microalgae photobioreactors designed to prioritize resource efficiency and sustainability, into urban infrastructure and spaces using simple and sustainable designs. Our advanced monitoring and incubation technology play a crucial role in ensuring that we harness the full potential of microalgae while preventing overpopulation that could create harmful toxins or excessive carbon dioxide in turn. With Algeo, we plan to transform cities into vibrant and eco-conscious environments by incorporating these living ecosystems into buildings, green spaces, and functional furniture while simultaneously purifying the air, capturing carbon dioxide, and releasing oxygen.
Currently our Algeo wall has been launched in the Fanlign New Territories region branch of Cyberport in Hong Kong, Hong Kong's digital technology flagship and incubator for entrepreneurship with over 1,900 members including over 800 onsite and close to 1,100 offsite start-ups and technology companies, wholly owned by the Hong Kong SAR Government.
We are also in communication with the Aberdeen Cyberport branch for our launch of small-scale Algeo prototypes in the indoor office areas.
